Project Proposal
Project Name: Germination of Radiated Seeds
Background:I am interested in this project because I have been trying to grow flowers in my garden, but it failed to grow. I saw on the website sciencebuddies.org that radiated seeds grow faster and better. So i wantto see if it's true. A few people tested this method on root vegetables.I am testing it on flowers to see if the same thing applies and why.
Source: http://www.sciencebuddies.org/mentoring/project_ideas/PlantBio_p008.shtml
Purpose: To see how microwaving plant seeds affect their germination
Hypothesis:If the seeds are microwaved, the flowers will bloo earlier than the control and will be bigger.
Control: Seeds that are not radiated.
Variable: seeds that have to microwaved for 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 45 seconds, and 60 seconds.
Materials: - flower seeds
- planting pots x 5
- potting soil
